Comedian Sees Humor & Health Lessons In Own “Death”
The “Zevely Zone” on CBS 8 recently featured a story about “The Late” Mark Whitney, who joked he was “resurrected by God” after bombing at the Pearly Gates Improv. Whitney walked away from his widow-maker heart attack with a new perspective on heart health—and plenty of fresh material for his comedy stage show and podcast.
Dr. Christopher Suhar, an integrative medicine cardiologist at Scripps Clinic who cared for Whitney at the Prebys Cardiovascular Institute, weighed in during the segment on the warning signs people should watch for that could signal serious heart problems.
The story originally aired during American Heart Month, which is observed every February to raise awareness for cardiovascular health. Read More @ Scripps
